Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a 1D and a 2D scanner?
A 1D scanner reads classic striped barcodes. A 2D scanner reads those too, plus square codes such as QR and DataMatrix, including codes shown on a phone screen.
Will the scanner work with my till software?
In most cases yes: the scanner connects over USB and behaves like a keyboard, so it works with any software that accepts keyboard input. We check it with you before you buy.
Do you configure the scanner before handing it over?
Yes. We set the scanner up for your system — for example an Enter key after each scan, or the barcode types it should read — so you can use it straight away.
Where can I get a scanner serviced in Kosovo?
At POS Kosova in Prishtina. We are the authorized Henex service for Kosovo and carry out diagnostics and repairs in our own workshop.
