Wired barcode scanners
A wired scanner is the simplest and most dependable choice for the checkout: it plugs in over USB, takes power from the computer and is always ready, with no battery to charge. POS Kosova offers wired scanners from Henex and Honeywell — from basic models for small shops to industrial models for production and warehouses. Some models come with a stand, so the scanner also works without being held. We configure them for your system before handover.

Frequently asked questions
How does a wired scanner connect to the computer?
Usually over a USB cable: plug it in and the computer recognises it as a keyboard, with no extra software to install. For older systems we also supply RS232 cables.
Can a wired scanner read QR codes?
Yes, if it is a 2D model. 2D models read striped barcodes, QR codes and codes on a phone screen; 1D-only models read striped barcodes only.
What if the cable gets damaged?
The cable can usually be replaced without replacing the scanner. We supply spare USB and RS232 cables and do the swap in our workshop in Prishtina.
